I recently bought 2 battleforce boxes and a russ to start a small traitor guard force to go with my death guard. My question is will there be enough extra bits to build a ccs? I know that there's always extra bits and body parts left over but with so much sprew I didn't know exactly what was what. Thanks!
Yes and no, depends how you do it:
One command squad)
One troop (Platoon command squad )
with 2x line squads
- and you have 2x line squads and 6 bases of heavy weapons.
You can either:
1) make one a vet squad, then simply slap on the other squad and 2x HWS's to the platoon
2) shove heavy weapons into the squads. 3 HW's into squad = 6 spare men = second PCS (with two "line" squads and 3x HW bases leftover
oh, and all that tanky stuff.
- Get a codex and roll through the numbers
2xSent + Leman Russ = 250 (+50?)
CCS + stuff = 75
PCS + 2 line squads + stuff = 130 (+50?)
PCSII + 2 line squads + stuff = 130 (+30)
HWS (AC) = 75
Total = 750 odd with equipment. Drop the HWS / mix it in with Platoon 2 if you like your gear but can't find the points.
