When/if we see a new WH/SoB dex, what special characters would you expect to see? Will Karamazov be leaving since he has found a home in the new GK dex?
I think we can expect St. Celestine returning in the new dex, pending a successful Ld test.
Most names from the fluff I know aren't from the 41st millenia, so I don't know anything obvious.
5th Sisters of Battle: 10-5-12 (W-L-T)
Ephreal Stern (the damonifuge - a living weapon against daemons. From the graphic novel)
Helena the Virtuous (a prioress, not powerful in combat but inspiring to the sisters around her. From codex SoB.)
Saint Praxedes of Ophelia VII (a combat canoness, charging into combat with a thunder hammer-like weapon. From codex SoB.)
Saint Sabbat (The reincarnated saint from the Gaunts Ghosts books)
Inquisitor Adrastia (From the dawn of war game)
Inquisitor Pietas (Sacrified by the Sons of Malice after leading a celestian strike force to attack their homeworld)
???[unnamed]??? (There were rumors of an SoB test model with a pair of wrist mounted stormbolters)
???[unnamed]??? (There will invariably be a character that makes celestians troops/scoring)
The only other named sisters that i'm familiar with are Helena Britaine (celestian superior) and Jasmine (canoness) from the Vinculus crusade.
If Matt Ward writes it, we'll have a character who single handedly wiped out an entire eldar craftworld and another who explodes out of people chests with holy rage.
Anyway, GK nerd rage aside...
I'm hoping for a Seraphim character that makes them scoring/troops, and if memory serves, the test model with the stormbolters had a jetpack, though the jet Pack was bulky like a space marine's. The likelyhood of seeing characters from graphic novels seems unlikely to me, otherwise we probably would have seen some of the characters from the Grey Knights novels like Alaric or the Chaplin. However, since every codex is now getting truck loads of characters because you're not allowed to have any form of creativity yourself, I do expect at least 8 special characters. At least 5 HQs (two cannonesses, Celestine, Inquisitor if they remain, Priest), and 3 upgrade special characters. One Celestian, one seraphim, one Mistress aka Repentia. It's possible that there will also be one for any new units, and one for Retributers, though I think that would be unlikely.
40k: Silver Angels of Our Martyred Lady 7/2/3 - Daemons of the Great Squiggle! 3/1/0
Fantasy: Windhost of Athel'Loren 2/0/0 - Daemons of Another Great Squiggle! 0/0/0
Warmahordes: Legion of Everblight (Absylonia)
Funny, that sounds more like Codex:Tyranids to me (Which, for the record, was NOT written by Matt Ward) That said, ~8 Special Characters (Canoness x2, Saint, Palantine, Priest, Upgrade Battle Sister, Upgrade Seraphim, Upgrade Repentia Mistress) any maybe a non special-character Saint.
