I'll say sorry in advance if this is in the wrong area.
Hey, after looking over Ebay for weeks I won a great bargain of 3 LR's for £24 excluding P+P. I knew they needed some TLC and work on them so I'm asking you guys (and girls) what's the best thing to do
LR 1 - Is all there just missing side weapons (sponsors and TL bolter on front). Can you buy them separately from somewhere?
LR 2 - Is like LR 1, but also lacks top of assault ramp and that whole middle piece the TL weapon sits on.
LR 3 - Is really just a shell, easier to say that it is both tracks the main top piece and the back engine block thing.
I have already started looking over bits websites but didn't know if you dakkites could throw some of your knowledge on to this matter. Am i better just building LR 3 back with pasticard? if so any good websites? also thought about buying a new LR kit and using spares on this lot, do you get many spares to do this (this is an expensive idea though)?
Games Workshop does two conversion packs for the Land Raider on their website.
The first is the Land Raider Crusader Pack. This gives you a twin-linked assault cannon turret for the the main hull, and a set of sponsons which you can arm with Hurricane Bolters or Flamestorm Cannons. It also has the upgrade sprue for the Land Raider with it.
The second is less useful and is the Landraider Terminus Ultra Conversion Kit, which is a Razorback Turret sprue and a set of Predator Sponsons. This is probably completly useless to you but I've included it just in case you think you could do something with it.
Top Assault Ramp you can get here. There are six in stock at time of writing.
The Front Hull you can get from the same website here. There are also six in stock at time of writing.
In fact that site has most of the bitz you need. Bits and Kits Land Raider.
Lascannon- and hurricane bolter-sponsons are easy enough to convert/greenstuff, unless you want them to pivot and such. (Forge World makes a Vendetta conversion kit that would make lascannon sponsons pretty easy.) I once built a top assault ramp out of a Chaos Rhino dozer blade, greenstuff and a random piece of plastic for backing and it came out very well. (Chaos Land Raiders can take dozer blades and this was the only way I could do it WYSIWYG. The dozer blade gave the Land Raider the appearance of teeth, a very nice plus, and its spars helped to hide the rough greenstuffing.)
The middle turret of LR 2 will be more problematic, though. You can fake it in but it'll be hard to make it look natural and it will surely end up permanently attached and non-rotating. LR 3 is really pushing the envelope--what you save in buying it cheaply, you'll spend in hours and bits purchases. It's no bargain.

You might want to check forge world for chapter specific doors since you are missing them.
Praise be to the Emperor!!
Buy a land raider kit and use the new sprues to finish the others. You can then either sell the rest, keep for future projects or make scenery out of it.

I'd try to overhaul the first two (bits and kits! yaay! ) - and scenery-ise he 3rd / put on ebay. Someone'll grab it for a CSM conversion / something
I do think it's odd to buy a 4th one.. to re-make the 3rd.
