So I was never a marine player, I'm sure it's been dealt with for them, but I couldn't find the answer, so I figured I'd just ask.
Most of the GK units say for every five models, up to X models make take a <Insert special Weapon here>
My question is this:What about squads without multiples other than 5 in them? IE does a 4-man Paladin squad get to take any? Would 9 GK's get the extra weapon, or do they have to take an even 10 to get it?
Essentially, does it mean "5 OR MORE = 1 weapon", or "UP to and including 5 = 1 weapon"?
"The objective is to win, the point is to have fun."
It's 5 or more. If you're at 4, then no. If you're at 9, then only 1 special weapon (or 2 for purifiers and paladins). And if you're at 10, then 2 special weapons (or 4 for purifiers/paladins).

Agreed but when you split up for combat squads do you need to put an even number of special weapons in each squad or could I split my 10 man purifiers into a 5 man CC specialist group and a 5man squad consisting of all 4 special weapons creating a purifier "purgation" type hybrid. This would be nice as with crowe purifiers are troops and would allow me to have an objective anchor that puts out 26 Str 4 shots at 24" ... any takers?
So it seems we can.
Make a man a fire and keep him warm for a night.
Light a man on fire and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life.
Yes, when you combat squad, you can put all your special weapons into one squad.
