Just out of general interest: Has anyone tried out a full army using Paladins as troops (Draigo is naturally needed). A short calculation tells me you can build an entire 1500 point army into 20 or so models, but does it make any sense?

Not having the grey knight book I couldn't say how effective it would be - but Deathwing terminator lists at 1550 points and higher generally consist of 15 terminators, the (cheap!) hero that lets you take them as troops and then 3 landraiders to transport them. These lists are really effective between 1550 and 2000 (1550 is the minimum to get all those units at basic cost). The premise is that the enemy doesn't have enough firepower to take out 3 landraiders long range, and they can disable enemy long range antiarmour vehicles with their own lascannons while the terminators inside serve as a deterrent to anyone wanting to get into melta range.
This grey knight idea of having roughly the same amount of terminators but no transports might not work as well, but I'm sure the rules for the paladins are far superior to space marine terminators also. I guess the best way, as with anything, is to proxy it and see how it goes! I'd certainly be interested in finding out how well it does.
I guess this list would be called a Draigo-wing?

I am President of the Brunel University wargames society - PM me if interested.
I faced Drago and 2 units of Paladins accompanied by a Dreadknight and normal unit of knights. . . . it happens . .
I think it should be called Palawing!!!!
PROUD TO BE IN THE BRITISH ARMY.

Nowhere near as good as people think because Paladins -- no GK termies at all, actually (other than Draigo himself) -- have access to storm shields. There are plenty of AP 2/AP 1 weaponry around -- including at reasonably long ranges -- that just make expensive infantry with poor invul saves cry. At 55 pts per model, you really can't afford for a humble guardsman with a melta gun to slag them so easily.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

Played against it again with my standard Tyranid list at 1500 and still beat them, though the game was much closer. Outmanuevered him for the most part and whittled him down with shooting and then charged in and swamped them with dice.
yes you could do it. would you want to? not a chance. it would be cool and fluffy but as others have said before it wouldn't be competitive at all.
nothing like inter species cooperation!
I have been playing DriagoWing since the codex came out. I run Driago, Paladins, and PT Dreadknights. A Librarian makes the list at 2.5k.
I am roughly 12-1-1.
My loss coming at 1500 against spammed Coteaz Jokeros, Psykers, and Vindicare and some horrendous rolling. I have since replayed the army at 2k and wiped it with ease.
The draw was against 2.5k Calgar marines with 2x Vindicators, Assault Termies LR, Meltas in tacticals, 2x MM Ven Dreads. I've also beaten this list with my DriagoWing at different point levels. Game ended T5 1-1. Would have likely wiped him T6 had there been one.
I have not gotten a chance to play against IG yet. I have been playing against some people's trial Ard Boyz lists and done surprisingly well.
Most people, unless they are tailoring their lists against yours don't bring enough S8+AP2- weaponry to kill enough of your army fast enough. Shunting Dreadknights usually keep their attention long enough for your psycannons to get in range. Usually you can greatly diminish your opponent S8+AP2- weaponry.
I love this army, and have been surprised with how well it has performed so far.
