iam changing my 2-k blood ravens list around a bit and i cant decide on either taking a 5-man unit of assault termies in a land raider (probs a redemmer) or run with a 10-man assault termie squad. both options cost about the same amout of points. i want to have a balanced list so this is what i have for shooting and CC:
for CC: terminator captain, IC dread, 5-man assault termines with THSS
for shooting: 2x vindicators, dev squad, tac and scout squads, stern vets,
i know if i want to make my listy more shooty i should take the LR, more assaulty take the extra termies.
my question is which option would lead to a more balanced and effective list?
actually, I'd think if you want a shooty termy list, you'd go for the 10-man deep striking termies. This way, you'll get more firepower as soon as they become available (or keep firing cyclones when footslogging).
a landraider crusader/redeemer would benefit CC termies, particularly for lightning claws to make up for the lack of frag grenades.
Personally, I think 10 man squads give you more flexibility, but since you've got a '1st company' theme happening, I'd say the landraider would make a more fitting centrepiece for your army.
no, cause C:UM always ends up with the other chapters' toys in the long run anyway
