Hello fellow knights of titan. Still trying to figure out what sort of Grey knight list I want to start out with.
Cash flow is a bit of an issue, and I really like grey knights as an ultra elite army of tough guys. So it seems like the answer to these issues lie with either a Purifier list with Crowe or a Draigowing list.
I know there are a couple of players around here that have been having success with an all paladin and DK army, and I was just wondering if you guys could relate experiences specific to draigowing, maybe some general lessons you have learned.

HQ: Take Draigo and resist the temptation to buy another HQ. Keeping your model count up is very important. A cheap =][= with rad grenades and the plasma siphon can be useful in protecting a large unit of paladins from plasma fire and the -1T to the enemy really helps.
Troops: Take 10 man squads. If you like staying in large units then add medics and banners otherwise they are not worth it for 5 man units. The reason to take 10 man squads is to roll for your grand stratergy then give the benefits to say 2x10 man paladin squads, then at the army deployment stage you combat squad and presto now 4 of your units get scout or counter attack rather than 2. Psybolts if you like them are also cheaper this way.
Design each 5 man combat squad to take 2 psycannon (mastercrafted if you can) then mix in hammers, halberds, a sword and maybe falcions into the unit. Staffs are expensive but can save you wounds from time to time especially against powerfists (the sword is a less good alternative but costs no extra points). Make sure every model is armed differently to abuse the wound allocation rules.
Other forces should concentrate on countering your weaknesses such as against hordes or tanks. Elite infantry you can deal with using Paladins. Adding speed is important and so teleporting dreadknights with an incinerator and gatling psylencer can help. Alternatively drop the teleporters to keep the points down and just move the army in a self supporting bubble of 24" shooty death and wait fo rthe enemy to come to you on the objectives. In kill point missions stick with 10 man units and you shouldn't give away many kill points.
Quorn! - Protein for the Protein God.
HQ: Draigo (obviously) Librarian w/ Shrouding, Sanctuary @ 2500
Troops: Paladins, 10 or 5, as many psycannons as will fit, 1 daemonhammer per 5 men, abuse for wound allocation. Do NOT take an Apothecary, for the price of his upgrade you can buy another Paladin and Feel No Pain doesn't help against what worries you (Instant Death or AP1/2 or Power/Force Weapons)
Heavy Support: At least 2 Dreadknights with Heavy Incinerators and Personal Teleporter, possibly Greatsword/Hammer. Do not take the Gatling Psilencers, they're terrible. Statistically, you'll kill 3.5 GEQ's per volley, and it just gets worse from there - they can't even damage AV10 vehicles reliably.

I appreciate the information, and it helps reinforce some of the ideas I had. However there is another thread on draigowing that is geared more towards listbuilding.
I was looking more for some relatable experiences with how the list does/plays against different armies and general lessons that people have learned about a super-elite army like this, like tactics or whatnot that you find yourself using against pretty much all oponents more or less.
On the other hand, I do have one question regarding listbuilding. Do you think warding staves would be worth it for units that dont have Draigo himself to try to nullify any instant death attacks in close combat?

"I am the architect of fate!"
I've posted my information and experiences all over the place. There is a couple of DriagoWing specific threads and the Grey Knight Experiences thread. I'm currently 14-1-1 with my DriagoWing aka my "Heroes of Titan" army. Absolutely a blast to play.
yeah, I've read a bunch of the other threads, but they all seem to to focus more on the list building side of things rather than relating battle experience.
I know people are having fun and winning with draigowing, I want to hear how they are doing it. Ill go back and reread some of the other threads to see if I have missed anything.

2k against Coteaz, Jokearos, Psykers, a couple of MM servators, a crusader Death cult assassin unit, 2 conversion beamers, 2 psyrifledreads, vindicare, culexus, and an interceptor squad. 5 Chimeras in total. I think that is roughly what he had.
Pitched Annihilation, I have 6 KPs, he has something like double that. I won the roll for first turn. Scouted two of my PT dreadknights.
Table: Played on a full 4x8 left 3.5'(my perspective) was mostly water with two small islands and a multi layered hill. I chose the non hill side due to thinking we were playing on the dry 6'(whatever, no big deal, i let him do it). Also, there was little to no terrain on the center of the board, deployment really favored him. Deployed Driago and ten paladins middle in an OMG they have high St low AP large blast templates formation, reserved my 5 man unit, and deployed left of center at the waters edge my non scouting PT dread knight.
He deploys the vast majority of his army(4 chimeras) left on the hill protected by water. Deploys his vindicate half way up the board on the far left. He also deployed a psyrifledread and inquisitor with a conversion beamer left. Deploys his Culexus center. He also deployed his Crusader DCA chimera in the water closes to my army. Deployed Interceptors in the water(don't quite know why) behind it. On my right, he deployed a techmarine with conversion beamer in a woods on the farthest reaches of the board with a psyrifledread close by.
I Scouted one PT DK far right into dangerous terrain to avoid his servo skull to go after his techmarine and psyrifledread. I scouted my other far right as close to his vindicare as I could.
.... He siezes(without the need for his reroll).
He advances his Crusader DCA chimra slightly. He fires everything, vindicare fails to wound the DK, his BS3 proves to be iffy... I make a couple of invuln saves... Culexus is out of range... psykers have difficulty with my Aegis... Driago bounces a couple of wounds off of his Storm Shield... I end up losing three wounds off of my left dreadknight and one off of my right, and one off of my center DK. Palainds are nearly unhurt.
I move my left Dreadknight up to incinerate/assault his vindicare. I move my right PT DK up to incinerate/assault his techmarine. Driago and Paladins advance to blow up his Crusader/DCA Chimera.... Center DK advances into dangerous(water) to heavy incinerate occupants of that Chimera. I fail to hurt his Chimera with 16 Psycannon shots... thanks to smoke(which he forgot to pop and I allowed him to use anyway, since I'm a nice guy)... I fail to wound his Vindicare... I fail to assault his Chimera... I assault and can't get any wounds through his vindicare's invuln(what I wanted, to stay locked in combat), I kills his techmarine and advance towards his psyfifle Dread
He disembarks his Crusaders and DCA squad. He continues to shoot. The Culexus takes 3 wounds off of my center DK which he proceeds to kill with some other fire, maybe MMs from Coteaz's squad or his interceptors. I think I lose one or two wounds off of my right DK and Driago's squad is still . I ID his Vindicare in CC and consolidate towards the culexus.
I successfully cast psychic communion and fail to bring in my other paladins with a 1. I advance through dangerous terrain towards his Culexus with my left DK. I advance towards his crusaders and DCA with Driago and his 10 man paladin squad. Right DK advances towards his PsyrifleDread. I shoot and multiassault his chimera and crusader/DCA squad destroying the chimera and ending up with a single crusader holding due to not getting many models into the assault. I ID his Culexus and destroy is PsyRifleDread.
He advances his Interceptors withing assault range of my DK. He dumps a bunch of shooting into my DKs killing them both. Driago remains a beast and I am only down a single paladin and one other wound I believe. I also finish off his lone Cruader and advance towards the bulk of his remaining force.
I successfully cast psychic communion and bring in my remaining paladin squad which proceeds to wreck his left most chimera. Driago's squad DTs up the mountain to within assault range of the Interceptors(barring less than a 4 on DT). I choose not to fire Driago's Squad who make their assault DT and wipe his interceptors with something like 15 wounds to spare. The advance towards Coteaz' Chimera.
8-3 DriagoWing...At this point in time so long as a single model survives I cannot lose.
I lose a couple of models to shooting, two I believe.
I shoot assault his psyker jokearo squad that are in the open wiping them consolidating towards his PsyRifleDread and conversion beamer inquisitor. Driago Breaks off towards the PsyRifleDread. My large Paladin squad moves to within assault range of coteaz' chimera and destroy it.
Game is called at this point before the turn ends. 10+ KPs to 3. T5 wipe is possible but is unlikely. T6 wipe is probable.
At the end of T4 lost 6 models (I believe) maybe 7.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

Certainly not a great list, but far from terribad. It was also a play testing list, he is looking at shooty inquisition for Ard Boyz.
Thanks for sharing Zagman.
I agree that the Coteaz list isnt optimized for all comers games yet, however it seems more than scary for an army who's only real fear is low AP, instant death shooting attacks, which this list has plenty of.
