Welcome to Librarium Online!
It has come to my attention that you can field two GK GMs in a list (they aren't unique).
Which means that you have a chance of giving 6 of your units one of the four choices of Grand Strategy.
You can give 3 of your units 2 choices, or 2 of your units 3 choices, and etc.
(EX. Hammer of Righteousness AND Shield of Blades)
The codex doesn't speak of this. It only says:
"These units have one of the following roles for the duration of the game"
I wouldn't be posting this up if there was an "ONLY" in that sentence.
Thanks in advance.
I would say personally that you could get the potential 6 since it is the grand master himself that gives the units special battlefield roles. So having two grand masters you can give another d3 units another or the same special ability as the the other grand master but I would imagine that you couldn't give a unit two abilities since they have already been given a battlefield role by the other grand master. Just my way of looking at it.
This can go either way. But I say that it is possible to give a unit 2+ roles. It is just that the roles don't seem to work out in sync.
There is no reason you can't have two GMs and, therefore, two uses of Grand Strategy. With one GM, you are forced to give d3 units one GS choice. The other GM forces you to give d3 units one GS choice. That's it. Obviously there's no point in giving the same GS to the same unit, so you're either going to use the same GS choice with both GMs and give them to 2d3 unique units. Or you're going to take differing GS choices, in which case there's nothing stopping you from stacking abilities onto the same unit or units.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

The wording is 'one' of the following.
Praise be to the Emperor!!
Um, thanks guys. But like I said, those four roles don't work well together in one unit. So there isn't really any point.
Yeah, you're right. Who'd want a scouting scoring unit, or a scouting unit that re-rolls 1 for wounds...
...yeah...who'd ever want that.
Great. Now I'm getting a little bit of everything in here. Including sarcasm. Great.
It's one of those funky abilities that lacks much of a use. Very situational.
Well, it's lacking due to not being able to sense sarcasm within text. Of course, your ellipses gave it away. I understand a Scouting scoring unit, but an objective-claiming counter-attacker (say that ten times fast...) doesn't work out so well.
I guess it depends on your army .
