So I currently own a few unpainted units which I feel would be quite workable into a GK army, my question is: What else do I need?
What I have is a land raider crusader, a rhino, a vindicare/callidus assassin, an inquisitor with 10 storm troopers(acolytes), a terminator librarian as well as 2 dreadnoughts with multimeltas/stormbolters. My hope is to optimize on what I already have in order to be economic. I was considering getting draigo, 2 boxes of paladins and a dreadknight. Any other ideas on some units I could find maximum potential in?
Get some Strike Squads(SS), some Purifiers will be handy. If you want to run Purifiers as troops Crowe is a must have. Getting TLAC(twin linked auto-cannon) arms for your dreads will make for grate anti-armour. In the end 2 Stormravens.
Why use science and education when ignorance and superstition will work just as well.
hmm, crowe certainly does seem tempting...
Read his rules carefully before choosing him. He's not an IC for starters.
"Tau Commandment #226: Participants who use Velocity Trackers in the Tau Clay Pigeon Tournament will be disqualified"
If you want loads of purifiers then Crowe is worth it but if you only want one or two units then you can use a GM instead relying on his strategy to make them scoring. Even better in kill point missions you can make the purifiers reroll 1's to wound which is great for storm bolters, NFW and clensing flame attacks.
Quorn! - Protein for the Protein God.
I still dig the idea of a super elite army of paladins
Its already been said, but you cant go past a couple of Strike Squads or Purifier Squads
20 GKSS, another rhino, some autocannon arms, and a box of termies and I say you'd have a bunch of viable options.
