So I've started putting together a chimera but I can't decide how to arm it. I was thinking that since 5 models can shoot from the tank perhaps going dual flamers would be a good move, but then you lose a bit of light tank popping capability with S6 shots.
How do other people arm them?
I'm not a GK player myself, but play IG so i'm familiar with Chimeras. A Multi-Laser and hull Heavy Flamer is IMO by far the best loadout for a Chimera. The ML is surprisingly effective and the HF is always a good choice for a transport that intends to close with the enemy. I assume this Chimera is for something like Meltagun Henchmen?
Like xDETHx Turtle said, it is a good load out. Or you give it the ML with HB. This gives you range and 9 shots each turn.
Why use science and education when ignorance and superstition will work just as well.
Don't do double flamer. In order to shoot both of them your opponent would have to leave a unit standing in range of you chimera before it moved. I a like the others am a fan of the multi laser for anti light transport (which you cannot have too much of) and a heavy flamer so once you get your cargo to their destination you can burn the enemy out.
ok thanks for the advice guys, I think I'll go with multilaser/hf loadout.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.
