I'm making a battle company for my Crimson Fists and i'm having trouble arming my 6 tactical squads, well 4 because i've already got two squads with melta gun and missile launcher, i want to get one more with a melta gun and then the other 3 with flamers as I don't really rate plasma guns on tactical marines but its just the heavy weapons i can't decide on as I can't bring myself to choosing anything like the lascannonor heavy bolter over the missile launcher as its good at doing both things, so what would you guys take?
ML+Plasma(Extra range over the melta)
ML+Melta(rhino w/combat squads)
ML+Flamer(just because I got it like that from the BFM set...)
mostly HB+Plasma, as the devestators 4ML can take care of clusters+ tanks, and the whirlwind remove pie-plates.
I have two squads in tried-and-true Missile Launcher + Meltagun combo. Works fine for me. Usually I'll combat-squad them after they come off their Drop Pods.

So you'd rather take a missile launcher over the other heavy weapons to? See I don't really see the point of taking a heavy bolter unless its four in a devy squad because the missile launcher does a better job of clearing infantry most of the time then it can go on to dealing with armour, I think the only other viable option would be the plasma cannon because its got the ap the strength and the blast, but the lascannon is also a steal for its points, hmmmmm
I usually go with a combimelta and a meltagun, and then either a plasma cannon or a lascannon depending on what the rest of my army is looking like.
Las/Plas... Termies for assault, tacticals for fire support.

plasma gun + plasma cannon is a great duo. Destroy heavy infantry as well as pop transports? that's the epitome of tactical. Within 12" your pulling double taps on the plasma gun and plasma canons just always seem to work wonders for me. A plasma canon will work well against anything other than a heavily armored tank. When I use my tactical squads I like to make use of the entire thing, that means the bolters as well. If I'm wasting a turn shooting 1 las cannon at a vehicle than I'm losing at least 4 bolter shots. I allocate needed las cannons on vehicles or devastators where all the shots are counting. Just make every shot count.
At the bear minimum I always have at least two squads with combi-melta and melta gun and powerfist. Depending on points the heavy is either ML, LC, or PC. I never use the HB unless it casual (or I feel like using my model because I think it looks cool). For transport usually Rhinos, but I've been playing around with Razorbacks from time to time as well.
To fill out the other four squads I think i'll have two with flamer plasma cannons, 1 with melta gun lascannon and 1 with flamer heavy bolter and i'll put a power fist and power weapon in to a couple of squads.
well if you are going full battle company think how would these unit comliment each other. missile launcher is good Anti-tank and Anti-infantry. plus its free. but all heavy weapons are cheaper in a tac squad. You'll also have two devisator squads loaded out.
