I ve just started playing guard and have recently had problems facing a daemon army, blood letters and armored daemon princes deepstrike and charge my infantry and weapons teams and have been causing much badness. To counter this i recently got two vendetta gunships and have i won the last game i played against the daemons with them. Getting to the point, i noticed that the servitor power arm igonres armor and has S 8 and was wondering if about the possibility of deploying a techpriest, 5 servitors and a ministorum priest for close combat duties. this little group would be 165 pts, and with the priest able to re roll misses in close combat. I play alot of Space marine armies too and was wondering if the servo arm ignoring armor would be of better use than the ogryn against them.... I usually have creed too so i could even give them for the honor of cadia to further increase their close combat badassness? or is it just not worth it?
They are, however I1, which means they could quite probably get wiped out before they even get to strike - especially given their cost (more than a vet squad with triple plasma and a fist), vulnerabilities (slow, no shooting), and deployment problems (can't assault out of a vendetta if it moves). So, not worth it. If you're concerned about marines, Triple Plasma w/ Fist and/or Demolitions is probably the way to go.

Deamons will hit those guys first and the powerweapon really doesnt help much since they have invulnerables anyway.
Praise be to the Emperor!!
