Hello everyone, I just received my order of my 10 new paladins and librarian. I felt as though the lack of anti-vehicle weaponry in a paladin heavy army makes psycannons a necessity. As such, each box only comes with 1 psycannon - meaning I'm short 2
Alternatively, us grey knight players have the ever useless psilencer in much abundance. Seeing as they are somewhat similar weapons until you reach the muzzle, I felt that a conversion would be quite easy and look decent. Turns out it works quite well.
1. To begin take the psilencer and shave the flat surface on the end of it where the tri-barrel piece attaches (you want to get rid of the little stub that helps lock in the original end piece.)
2. The psilencer has a separate little end piece (the tri-barrel) that gives it a gatling gun appearance. Take this little end piece and separate any one of the 3 barrels. Then attach the barrel you isolated to the center of the psilencer flat end that you previously shaved.
3. Take the ammo cartridge from one of your spare storm bolters and attach it directly to the left of the main power cables of the psilencer.
This should give you a psycannon that when painted, will look nearly identical to the psycannon originally provided.
In the picture below you can see the converted psycannon (psilencer) on top and the actual psycannon below it.

I wish I had taken photos step by step, but I actually didn't expect it to turn out as decent as it did. Hopefully, this can help solver your psycannon spam issues!

Tau my love! You are back!
Very nice, need to get a better picture, from what I see, it looks as good as the real thing! I'll be doing this for sure.
I found a conversion with the mag behind the tubing... looks just as good, just different. I like yours, good job!
I use Imperial Guard Grenade Launchers. They are scaled perfectly and are very pleasing aesthetically; they are also very easy to come by.
