Unit of the week is Inquisitors!
How do you run them? What wargear do you equip? How have they performed in your games?
I will start it off, I use my Inquisitors in a few setups, usually as a second HQ slot to add support to a weaker element of my army. The first being the assualt I take Ordo Maleus with Combi-melta/Daemon blade + Daemon blade, the second for shooting deepstriking support, Ordo Xenos with Conversion Beamer + Psychic communion; or; Ordo Maleus + Hell Rifle + Psychic Communion. They seem to do alright in their given jobs, and are cheap as chips.

Outside of the named inquisitors I have only really used the upgradeable ones a couple of times when I want a cheap HQ. I havent taken the ordo malleus inquisitor simply because to make him of any use you need to spend a fair amount of points, the Ordo hereticus inquistitor Ive only used purely for the null rod because I suspected in that my opponent would be taking a rune priest.
As for the Xeno inquisitor (My fave btw) they can take grenades which are a lot of fun, and give the squad they are with a boost in CC. I try to take HQs that can take the grenades because...well just because I can! lol.
I have begun using a Xenos =][= with only Rad grenades as my only HQ in a grey knight list. You end up with plenty of troops when you only spend 40 points on the HQ. Librarians and GMs have their uses but neither can fit in a rhino and the list is mechanised GKSS/Purifiers.
At the moment I don't even take a retinue, although a squad with 3 meltas and 2 hotshot lasguns in a chimera looks pritty tempting.

I take an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor, give him rad and psychotroke grenades (rad because it will help the squad in CC and psychotroke because they are fun), Hammerhand and power sword and then give him a retinue of Death Cult Assassins, Acolytes and one Jokaero (once again...for laughs). If I had models for Arco Flagellants, they would replace the Acolytes and I'd drop the Jokaero, but that is way too serious.

Sorry, my mistake, didnt have my book in front of me at the time, and couldnt remember if he could have them or not.
Well for it seems like the only reason you want Inquisitors is you want to spam rad and/or psychotroke grenades, I don't think they are that amazing, Xenos one seems the most useful with the bonus defense against plasma spam and perhaps also access to a extra cheap hammer hand.
I've used the Ordo Malleus =][= with termi armor and psycannon.
For 80 points in small games, he gives another relentless psycannon to termis or pallies, and give stubborn 10.
He's not going to eat fire like Draigo as he's T3, but he does add some useful bonuses.
Gutted with Codex Grey Knights, as my old Daemonhunters army was built around Inquisitors and Inq Stormtroopers, with no GK whatsoever (after all, there are only 1000 GK but there must be millions - billions of Inq Stormtroopers).
But anyway, my question is about my 2 lovely old metal Ordo Hereticus Inquisitors, one armed with combi-bolter-staker and one with inferno pistol... Where are the rules/points? The inferno pistol has a pic but no rules, the staker has rules but no points and isn't an option for any Inquisitor. :-(
Not got codex in front of me, and only quickly read it on train, so please correct me if I'm wrong!
My favourite of all the old Inquisition models were always the various Savants / Scribes etc and the cherubim... Alas, now they don't exist in the rules. What I liked about the 2 old Inq Codexes was the character... the feeling that the inquisitor and his retinue were all real quirky individuals, rather than ranks of faceless boring troops. Hey ho. Sadly the new Codex GK is nowhere near as individual and exciting as, say, Ultramarines or Necrons.
the bolter stake is now refered to as a pennance or condemer bolter or something like that its in the =][= options and the inferno pistol if it aint in there has been cut
I am going to have an Ordo Malleus in my army, in Termy armour, that way it stays in flavour with the rest of the army. But I've got re-model her. I had put straight GK helmet on with Hammer and Storm Bolter, but have decided to use a spare DE female head, with the ears covered/chopped to look more human. Then I'll paint the armour something to suit, I want her to look like a badass that actually does a damn good job.
