Good evening all! I would like to clear up how effective the orbital strike relay is against the monolith... from my little knowledge of necrons the monolith has a special rule stating that special rules from weapons are negated. I had a browse in the rule book and the lance strike orbital relay isnt a special rule from what i can see but its rule states that any armour values over 12 are counted as 12. So is this true and will work on the monolith, cheers
the living metal rule says that you never get more than 1 d6 to penetrate and all weapons that treat it's armour value as less than 14 have their effects ignored.
So no, lance strike won't lower it's armour to 12. Luckily the old tactic of ignoring the monolith and killing the warriors works a lot better for grey knights thanks to all their we'll be back ignoring force weapons lol
Don't even have to go as far as force weapons, power weapons will do the trick.
I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I understand
Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.
Do force weapon kills prevent them from being resurected then ? Sorry im a 40k noob
any attack with strength double their toughness or close combat attacks that ignore their armour save ignore we'll be back unless they're in range of a resurrestion orb (wargear for a necron lord). there are a few other conditions to so if u end up playing a necron player is probably best to check it in their codex
Do remember that are lance strike does S10 as long as the pie plate touches the vehicle.
Why use science and education when ignorance and superstition will work just as well.
No you just use the force weapon on the Necron lord first so he can orb them and then bitch slap the unit with your strength 5 power weapons as for the living metal thing as far as I am aware the only thing it effects is abilities that rolls a extra die like rending, melta, it says nothing about lowering its armour value so have fun
