ok ok ok Halberts +2 initiative -Vs- Falcons +1 attack and +1 for having 2 CC wepons?? +2 attcks not bad eather
Unfortunatly you only ever gain +1 attack for falchions, so it really is a no-brainer for the points cost. Except for in some very rare circumstances ie, wound shinanigans on paladins... It has been FAQed
The extra points for the extra attack using Falchions are quite high. Given you get to strike first and hopefully kill off several enemies before they have a crack at you, halberds are generally a cheaper and better option.

Halberds all the way. Everybody in my force packs halberds and hammers. Actually thats a lie, I have 2 flachions in my force, but that was just for flavour. Halberds are brilliant and I have managed to cripple so many units before they get to strike.
Like everybody else has said, halberds >> falchions. Don't ever take them, not when halberds are always a cheaper option.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

Halberds and Daemon Hammers all the way. Halberds mostly, with DH for chewing out vehicles and monstrous gribblies.
I am with Everyone else. Halberds are better. If you were to get +2 attacks from the falchions it would be a toss up. As it is now Halberds are much much better and less expensive. Unfortunately that isn't the way the ruling went.
