    Apothecary!

I don't even play Grey Knights, so don't forum-rage on me.

Looking through the codex, it appears the Terminator Paladin Apothecary, for only +75 points, will effectively double the durability of a squad. Couple FNP with wound allocation, what could go wrong? I hear there's a lot of anti-Apothecary malice out here on the internet, but what's the epic drawback?

The cost of an apothacary upgrade is consudderable at 1.5 paladins or so. You only get FNP against weapons that would usually allow you a save so most opponents fire the HBs at other targets and reserve the plasma guns and meltas for the paladins where the apothecary is useless.

Generally if you have a large unit of paladins then one is ok but in a 5 man unit I wouldn't bother and would just get extra bodies or spend the points elsewhere. Adding Drago to a unit of plaladins really makes a difference with his 3+ save against any AP2 instant killing weapons in a volley able to keep your guys alive for longer. The medic just halves the wounds taken from bolters and the like.

    See above.

He add survivability to an already very survivable squad. A bit OTT IMO.

I used him in a game of Apoc and he was well worth it, but in regular games, the apothecary is overkill.

A 130pt model that doesn't help against the main threats to Paladins, S8+ AP2-. Nope, I'll pass.

    55+75 = 130

That and I echo the above posters.

I was referring to the upgrade, which costs 75 points, sorry.
