So I want to start a Flesh Tearers Army with the really dark hue of red exhibited on GW's Gabriel Seth model, the problem is that I can't find any "official" commentary on what that color is. I'd love to find it in a spray can if a cheap knock off is available but I was figured you guys might be aware of what color red this is: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod550013a
It appears to be a dark red with a badab black wash.... any opinions?
Thanks a ton!
Red gore, highlight with bleached bone and Baal red wash.
I use asurmen blue to shade with but if your not painting into the recesses you will be best leaving the black undercoat showing. Also it's best to lay down some mechrite red first so your red gore goes on first coat.
Maybe do your mechrite then wash with black or blue before you build up your red gore and highlights...
So you're saying black primer, mechite red under coat, then red gore, then baal red wash with bleach highlights right?
Do your bleached bone highlight first before the Baal red otherwise they won't look right
