I was just wondering
Can i put models with jump backs in a storm raven
If so i am guessing they take 2 spots each but i am not sure
You can and they do.
But that leads to another question.
What advantage would it serve having 5/6 jumppack marines in there instead of termies or a squad of 10. I know there is a rule where jumping out in mid flight becomes less suicidal, but have never heard of anyone using it ever,
well i want to do a list of all jump infantry
so say i am up against tyranids i can just put a squad inside untill i decide i need them
2)Same reason the same wargear has (often) different costs and rules from codex to codex.
3)Same reason you can load Gk terminators in chimeras but not powerarmored ones.
4)Same reason marines use automatic granade launchers that 'scrape' only most types of armor.
5)Tzeentch has something to do with it.
6)This is the actual reason:This 40k.Physics/reality dont get in the way of the world/game mechanics.
Praise be to the Emperor!!
I've actually used this ability to keep my DC from charging around the board all willy-nilly.Give five with Jump packs a Chaplain and let 'em go get something your enemy thought was safe. Or pop 'em out next to what you want to kill, and they usually kill it, then jump around after everything else. It has also been occasionally useful to get some Sanguinary Guard with a Priest into some pitched battles. Just a couple of ideas where you could try using the ability to carry jump infantry. Good luck.
