OK, Being bored over Christmas I decided to "expand" my Sisters "Dark Heresy" Combat Patrol a bit and decided I needed an Exorcist.
Frankly I really I hate the "official" model - and no way was I shelling out for the Forgeworld model.
But looking at the latter it did give me an idea about how to use those Valkyrie Rocket Pods I had in the "bits" box.
Basically used a spare turret hatch ring with a scanner and a scratch built mounting with brass rod across to support the Rocket pods.
I used both pods - but I suppose if I'd had a second "spare" Rhino I could have used 1 pod per vehicle.
See what you think of the result?
Only an idiot fights a war on two fronts. Only the heir to the throne of the kingdom of idiots would fight a war on twelve fronts.
I've seen a few with the immolator canopy and valkyrie missile pods too, not surprised people avoid the forgeworld one given the price and how cheap pods are from bitz sites.
The official model ... well I don't mind it myself (it's distinct), but it's a nightmare to assembled. All of the parts which connect to the rhino chassis are warped out of the box, no exceptions. The missile assembly is always particularly bad (as in beyond simple greenstuffing bad).
the only advantage the official model gives is being able to hide behind buildings and using the uber high missile launcher as a telescope to still deny cover to opponents when shooting. People hate it but range and line of sight are still measured from the muzzle on vehicles so...
Suffer not the heretic. That's right, I'm looking at you Astartes Librarians.
I think the LoS is supposed to be determined by the organ player on the from of the tank, but otherwise yea. You're supposed to go from the barrel of the gun and the obnoxiously tall pipe organs are the barrels of the Exorcist, so there's nothing people can say otherwise.
More on topic, I had purchased a whirlwind because I needed an exorcist in a hurry and no one (obviously) had one, and I couldn't order one. Then I took an immolator turret and mounted the missile pods on the sides and it looked great. To save more money, I actually took one of the pods off, put a searchlight/targeter piece in its place and attacked it to another immolator turret, effectively giving me 2 for the price of 1. This was a long time ago, and now I want to convert them back into one turret, especially since I have real exo and have also been taking retributers more and more (Last game they wrecked a Baal predator from the front arc. It was awesome). I might look into getting the Valk pods because I need to get another canopy anyway (you know, the one that comes with the SoB rhinos/immos and makes them look different) as well as possibly some eldar stuff.

I was one of those lucky souls who got Classic Exorcists on the cheap from ebay. I won 4 for $45 but they were absolute garbage for paint jobs...and the tracks were placed wrong. (One of them didnt have the side walls for the piano player either) besides that, they were in perfect shape.
Thankfully this was my first time using Simple green which is a god-send. Now I have to many of the buggers but they are beauts really.
Always field 3, if I have the points. I really can't justify any other heavy slot when str 8 ap1 48 range missiles are coming in packs of up to 6 per volley.
Also...glad to know they have 360 view, i remember a long time arguement I had with some other players before that got resolved...whew.

Looks a LOT better than the official 'Organ Grinder' model!
I did something similar using Typhoon pods.
