iam thinking of rejiging my 10-man wolf guard with current has a fist, 4xwolf claws and a power weapon and costs around 270 points. what i was thinking of doing is droping back the wolf claws to power weapons and taking 2 extra power weapons. my question is is the 2 extra power weapons in the squad better then the ability to reroll to and and wound?. i run this squad with ragnar so the unit is dishing out plenty of attacks any way on the charge. also could i leave the wolf claws on my models and make them count as power weapons in a tourney?
4 claws are better then 6 power weapons in my opinion. you could make a case for swapping them out for frost weapons though. both have their advantages. and i'm not sure if it was a typo on your part but wolf claws get to choose to re-roll to hit or re-roll to wound, not both at the same time. as for leaving the claws on and counting them as just power weapons, i wouldn't care much in a friendly mach but it will be confusing in a tournament and technically against the rules since everything needs to be WYSIWYG in most tournaments.
