I was just doing some math regarding Commissar Yarrick and how he can possibly be valued at close to 190 pts, and I realized that:
-Yarrick is actually a mix of a Ministorum Priest w/ eviscerator and a Lord Commissar w/ PF + carapace + plasma pistol = 165 pts
(Yes, he has 1 wound and 2 attacks less then the two combined, but he is a T4 eternal warrior, has a crazy forcefield, 12" stubborn bubble, and comes back from the dead! So I think that actually makes up for it.)
When used with Powerblobs (my current theme), due to his 12" bubble, he can even replace a couple of regular Commissars to save even more points (45 points for 3 pw attacks is an OK deal, but really the main reason we take commissars in blobs is for the stubborn, right?). With proper placement you can easily have his bubble cover two blobs and even the Rough Riders that just charged in as support.
The only thing that kinda scares me is the "fearless" thing. Then again, in a 30 man blob with 12 re-rolling PW attacks, 4 re-rolling PF attacks, and up to 54 re-rolling bayonet stabs on the charge, you are not going to lose many fights now are you?
I am really tempted to try him out in the near future.
How do you feel about Yarrick?
