What's the best plan for taking out a unit with mind shackle? They give me so many problems!
You know, a few details like what kind of marines (SM, BA, SW, DA...) you play and what units of yours specifically get into trouble with mindshackles could help...
The general, catch-all solution to mindshackle is to assault them first and make damn sure you load as many models as possible with as few special weapons as possible in base-to-base contact with the carrier of mindshackle, thus minimizing the possibility that random choice of mindshackle target hits your hidden power fist or independent character.

Exacty what Polaria said.
Try to keep your Powerfist/Powerweapon/etc. in the second row of models in the assault, not up front.
Keeping them from being in base to base with the model with MSS helps to stop yourself from instakilling your own guys with them.
Then your guys will at least get their normal saves against any wounds you end up inflicting on your own unit.
Your ICs you'll have to sneak in far enough to the side of the MSS user if possible.
