So I painted an idea for my Traitor Guard Storm Troopers and I was thinking, is it possible to use the jaws of another model, slab it on some green stuff and sculpt myself a gas mask similar to the picture?
Any help appreciated everybody!
I can't really tell what's going on with the gas mask, maybe do a close up sketch? Is it a rubber monster face with filters attached or is the guy a mutant?
Anyway the crypt ghoul heads might be pretty good. I'd buy them as bits if possible unless you have uses for the other parts.

Nice pic, btw.
The gasmask is reminiscent of the Forgeworld Khorne Berzerker Conversion Kit. That said, looking for viable and cheap sources is a little tedious, mainly due to size/space restrictions of an IG head, as well as the large quantities you'll need them in.
Another bits source you might want to try are the Beastmen Gors and Ungors, though only certain heads there have the look you're going for. But, because of their long snouts, should be easy enough to slice off their mouth-holes.
Or you can go for broke and use Tyranid Termagaunt heads, they're jawline is fairly severe going from ear to ear on a guardsman, but it's not that bad of a look, especially after popping on the air filters on either side of his head. Not sure of the size difference though in comparison with an IG head.

That might do it for the masks. As for the teeth,i can only guess at how...if you find a way i would like to see some pics.
BTW you are quite skilled in painting.
Praise be to the Emperor!!
Instant mold (or rather Oyumaru which is the non-branded and cheaper version) + greenstuff would be a great way to replicate the heads once you've made them. Both can be obtained cheaply on ebay.
You can use two bricks of the instant mold to form the front and back halves of the head. Then drop a pea of greenstuff into the cavity and press the two halves together for instant heads. Well it'd be best to let the greenstuff set probably but still, it'd be cheap.
It means you can custom-sculpt the head the way you want it but don't have the hassle of repeating the process 50+ times for all your guardsmen.

The amount of feedback from you is very much appreciated thank you, however these are my storm trooper models, I'm planning to have a maximum of ten probably I wont mind having to sculpt 10 of these.
@pilot thanks for the compliment too. Those marine heads may possibly be too big if its for space marine conversions. Though the autoguns they have are very shmexy. Hopefully they ship to sweden.
