Bought the kits, Deciding which one, when clipped on a stormraven, would be the best. Furioso or death company dread?
Furioso because with rage your opponent can move your death company dread for you and the furioso doesn't have FOC restrictions that Death Company dread has (i.e. the compulsory 5 death company models needed to grant availability).
If you think the Stormraven makes up for rage and rage doesn't bother you and you consistently use Death Company, than go for the death company dread.
agreed. id only take a death co one if i was running death co anyway. course you could always magnetise the front plate of the dread and swap them round depending on your needs like i did...
The Furioso's improved front AV is a lifesaver, in addition to Guthbrand's other points. No more krak grenades, autocannons become impotent and powerfists have only a 1 in 6 chance of a penetrating hit. Best of all, those S6I6 Purifiers don't have a prayer.

The higher armor value on a Furioso is the bomb-diggity! Plus higher weapon skill. However, I love me some "None can stay my wrath" and fleet and furious charge. For that reason I run 2 Stormravens and 1 Furioso Dread and 1 DC Dread! :-D
Once a Marine, always a Marine.
Furioso hands down.

let me give some arguments in the benefit of our ally the DC dreadnought. What it lacks in defensive abilities compared to his polite furious brother he gains offensive capabilities; such as an additional attack at I5 on the charge. the fury penalty isn't as bad as people seem to be making of it since your dread is going to be in a transport vehichle until he's close enough to charge anyways, plus having fleet NCSMR and magna grapple to speed the little sucker up and give him a higher threat radius. most importantly of all the DC dread takes up a tiny tiny space in the troops choice, as apposed to the furios competing with Priests chaplains and terminators
Yeah Kaijindv, that was my thought exactly. I like the extra attack, especially with blood talons where the effect can be multiplied. With the furious charge SRT and INT boost can be extremely helpful VS say monstrous creatures or something. Also I usually attach to a storm raven and put 5 death company inside, the cost isnt so bad, its does make it a target, that's why I want to have 2! Rage isn't an issue and the ability to shrug off a 1 or a 2 on a pen helps him to keep going, especially if you have something (autocannons) shooting him in the ass where the armour difference doesn't matter. I really like the the AV 13 the Furioso has and its ability to straight up deny IG powerfists but not much else.
I'd have to say that I lean towards the Furioso if we're talking straight-up "which would you pick?" However, when the discussion is about loading into a Stormraven, I feel the DC and DC Dred option is a much better option. Hence, why one of my Stormravens is done in DC Black with Blood Red X's on the wings and sides... I'd say that I'd lean towards the DC option 3 out of 5 times. Though, I can't deny the way a Furioso laughs in the face of anything but really heavy hitters...
Man, I love playing Blood Angels...
