I'm looking at modelling Games Workshop dreadnoughts with Forge World dreadnoughts.
Can anyone let me know if the arms can be swapped between the two types? e.g. MKV dread (GW) with FW Multi-melta or Ironclad dread (FW) with GW close combat arm?
I'm planning on using magnets to give me plenty of options between normal and venerable types and different weapon load outs.
I haven't bought any in years (how many do you really need?), but the last time I was in the market, yes. I have a GW vennie with FW arms...
IG since 1999 __ DA since 2002 __ Tau since 2005 __ SoB since 2007
Brets 1997-1999 __ TK since 2009 __ Empire since 2010
Yes they match up, not perfectly but with magnets yes they do. The FW arms are a little loose but not that much and they look great. I have three GW dreads with FW autocannon arms and they look just fine.
That's good. I'm looking at building a regular dread from GW (with multi-melta from FW) and maybe using the FW Ironclad dread as the body for my Venerable dread. Plus I've got a number of spare GW dreadnought weapons.
Thanks for the feedback.
