I want to use 10 Assault Termies in my Templar Army. Do Assault Termies need to have Jet Packs? Cause when i browsed GW's site, i couldn't see anything of the sort on the site. No Termies with Jet Packs. I need some help/advice. I want to equip them all with Lightning Claws, to do that, do i need to buy induvidual Lightning Claw blister packs? Let me Know.

Thanks

Terminators cant, by definition, have jump packs, mate. It'd be the equivalent of strapping a bottle rocket to a tank.

By 'Assault' Terminators, it means Terminator Troopers with an emphasis on Close Combat. Specifically they are given special CC Weapons and/or no Ranged Weapons at all; examples are Thunder Hammers, Power Weapons, Lightning Claws, etc.

The advtange is that these guys are essentially unstoppable in Close Combat; the multiple attacks afforded by having additional close combat weapons (good ones at that) and the general hardiness of Terminator armor.

Theres one catch. To my knowledge you can't go out and buy a boxed set of 10 (or 5 for that matter) Assault Terminators. Instead you have to buy them either individually or in pairs in blister packs (I think that certain types, ie Lightning Clawed ones, only come individually). Which means you'll need to drop about $10 a model.
So a 10-man Assault Terminator Squad, bought brand new in blisters will run you around $100.

GOod luck with that. Theyre a good investment. If all else fails, proxy them!

You could probably bits order the lightning claws and such (the arms that come with them), and glue them onto the plastic termies from the terminator squad boxed set. Go down to your local GW and look through the bits order book they have there. The staff will help you.

I hope the new ones come with lightning claws and thunder hammer sprues, or at least let you get a box set w/ either the shooty termis, or cc termies. Bc if they don't *shakes fist*

But assault termies are very deadly, and are very feared in CC (duh&#33 But try and buy them off friends if you can for a discounted price, its what i did.

It's likely that they vill release plastic assault terminators, or at least with metal arms. I've seen a picture on this board of a terminator plastic sprue and there were no arms on it, only shoulderpads, so I suppose that they will have separate arm sprues.

Are you 100% sure? Cause if so, that will be awsome. I'll just wait for that to come out. When are they scheduled to be released? This is the best news i've heard all day.

not entirely true. I have seen pictures of the sprues and while they do come with one each of the heavy weapons, plus a few chainfists, there are no thunder hammers, storm shields or lightning claws....
The enemies of the Emperor fear many things. They fear discovery, defeat, despair and death. Yet there is one thing they fear above all others. They fear the wrath of the Space Marines!
