Please explain why you have chosen what you have chosen.

I csay that the whirlwind is the most underestimated tank, for its low pts cost it really makes a dent in the enemy...

I would say the vindicator, a lot of people overlook it simply because of the range of the main weapon

    Vindicator underestimated? fah!

Expert players know what py effect a vindi can have with its huge pie plate of death and decay. It can hold entire flanks on its own, and creates a lose-lose situation for the enemy. Don't wanna go through the vindi? go through our carefully prepared trap. don't want to go through trap? demolisher time..

ON TOPIC: Personally, i would say the most underestimated would be the Razorback.

whirlwind -> for the points I don't see why I don't have one. Sure it is a less powerful attack, but all the more reason for your opponent to disregard it as a threat. Plus not having be in LOS of your target is protection enough.
...and you will know my name is the lord, when I strike down my vengence upon thee...

Whirlwind because of the Str of the Ordnance.

Wow, lots of people think on the same lines as me.....
I didnt say it but the fact that the Whirwid is almost always out of sight offers it the best protection, so for its points its even more underestimated.

i say predator because when you think about it its a land raider, minus the twin lik and heavy-heavy armour.
but try this, you can fit 2 predators for every land raider and be more effectife as it is, you just cant transport...
other than that the whirlwind is my next choice because of its strength.

Take my love, take my land, take me to where I cannot stand; I don't care I'm still free, you can't take the sky from me.

A year ago I would have said the whirlwind, however everybody knows this is a good tank. Especially with the attention it gets in the new codex, this will become quite a target.

My choice was the humble rhino. With the release of 4th edition rules and their changes to transports, many people dismissed the rhino out of hand and did not even give it a chance. I continue to use mine and they perform admirably. Not only are they almost impossible to kill with smoke launchers, but they can get a full tactical squad of marines into rapid fire range! Even when empty they are a rolling piece of terrain that is very useful for protecting squads and things like dreadnoughts. Go rhino!
The enemies of the Emperor fear many things. They fear discovery, defeat, despair and death. Yet there is one thing they fear above all others. They fear the wrath of the Space Marines!
