    This is my army list.

    HQ:

    Chaplain with bike, and frag grenades
    Commander with Power Sword and palsma gun
    Command Squad with 2 flamers

    Elites:

    Dreadnought with assualt cannon, cc weapon, storm bolter and smoke launchers

    Troops:

    9-man Tac squad with a flamer and a sarge, and a rhino with smoke.

    9-man Tac squad with a melta and a sarge, and a rhino with smoke.

    5-man Tac squad with a missile launcher and a sarge.

    Fast attack:

    LST with assault cannon and heavy bolter.

    A bike squad with a veteran sarge who has a power fist.

    A 9 man assault squad without jump packs. (They were second-hand)

    Heavy Support:

    A Predator annihalator with sponson-mounted las and smoke.

    5-man dev squad with a las, 3 missile launchers and a sarge.

    5-man dev squad with 4 missile launchers and a sarge.

    I assume the Chapy on the bike is with the bike squad yes? If he isn't, then he should join them.

    The command squad with the Commander is cool, though, depending on who you were playing, I would take two plasma guns instead. Theres nothing quite like rapid firing Plasma guns XD ...well there is, and thats Rapid firing Bolters, but thats besides the point

    I think the list is ok, though I would drop one of the Devy squads in favour of another squad of 9 troops, and maybe drop that one Land Speeder in favour of making that squad of 5, a squad of 9 *nods*

    The chapy is with the squad, yes. One thing about your suggestions is that these are, apart from a flamer dude or two, all my figures. But my brother, my only opponent, lets me substitute, so he will let me use flamers as plasmas, et c., so that's cool. But how often do I get an overheat? That's what's put me off before.

    The risk of overheating is far less than the chance of you killing, so statistically, mainly due to their AP, plasma guns are good, they are at their best VS 3+ save troops (marines, CSMs and necrons)

    if your rhino tactical quad are to see some CC action get some sarges with powerfists. help with tank hunting too.

    Your commander should have a plasma pistol, wich will give him +1A in CC.
