Well, I'm am sorta kinda putting together a Space Marine army (I own a whole two tactical squads, woohoo&#33 I got a chance to glance through the new Codex the other day, and a particular special character caught my eye. Here is some of what I remember about this guy:

    2+ save
may take any two librarian powers--picked after deployment
    carries a force weapon
gets +12 inch range on all psychic powers
    WS/BS 5

He's a hardass, basically, for about 150 points. Furthermore, I love the Ultramarines, and am currently painting my twenty marines up as that most disciplined of chapters.
I am really tempted to pick up the Chief Librarian to use as my primary HQ choice, (He's an awesome model, too) and I was just wondering what you all thought of him?

he is an awesome character, and is one of the best in the game but he would only be worth the points in a fairly big game, like 1500-2000

Like most special characters, he will probably only be allowed to be used in games of at least 1500 or 2000 pt games. This should be specified in the codex.

yeah Tigirus is by far the most powerful Librarian in the game and one of the strongest characters. His ability to pick powers after deployment means he can cater his psychic powers to an army, on top of being able to cast them at double there range with a re-roll if he fails the psychic test. His master crafted force weapon makes him particularly effective at chopping down high wound or invunerable save characters. And at just shy of 150 pts he is quite cost effective.
However he can only be taken in a 1,500 pt battle. But if you where thinking of taking Tigs as a HQ you wont be dissapointed.
