Now that I have grabbed your attention, will all of our terminators have to be placed on the medium sized bases, because the new plastic terminators are on medium bases, so do we have to convert ours to bigger bases?

To tell you the truth I don't have a clue, try e-mailing the Games Workshop, or maybe there will be an artical in White Dawf about it when they release the models. My guess though would be use they do have to be, thats a complete guess though.
Technically yes, you have to have the bigger bases. I wouldn't argue about it though.
Just wait until they come out before you convert them, just in case :)
No you don't have to change your bases.. There are no rules concerning base sizes in 40K... My Krieg Captain for example is on a medium base to make him look more important... Of course there are restrictions but common sence is used here... as long as the base is not unreasonably big or small there's no problem..
the answer is in the 4th ed rule book - no they are fine as they are, you may put them on 40mm bases if you want (which I have done anyway pre 40K rulebook) but this i at your discresion, 25mm is fine
Everything you have been told is a lie!
Where in the rulebook? I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that you can have larger bases but no smaller.
Page 6 under 'Bases' it actually says to consider the supplied base as the minimum size base. You can mount the mini on something larger but not smaller. This still does not require you to go back and change the bases on the older terminators, since they were supplied with that size base.
I think it's just another case of GW having their heads up a dark place when it comes to rule writing. They didn't think it through when they wrote that little comment.
Since its legal to field old model termies on 25mm bases, I don't see anything wrong with fielding the new ones on a smaller bases. I happen to like the larger bases and put all my termies and characters on the larger ones.
i have dumped my old terminators because i cant wait for these babies...you can pose them...suuweet suweet
P.S. Blood angels rule, the anger lets us ignore wounds ...hehehe
