i was wondering if the seraphim squads were allowed to get Inferno pistols and if so would inducting 2 squads of seraphim with inferno pistols and CC weaps be a good idea?
You could have up to 2 models in a Seraphim squad armed with twin-inferno pistols (or twin hand flamers). Also technically they don't have any additional CC weapons although the twin weapon effect counts as an "extra" CC weapon attack.
Note that a Veteran Seraphim Superior could not do the same thing because of the "unique" like wargear item restriction (she could not take two inferno pistols because you're only allowed to take one).
I don't think you're allowed to induct two squads of them, but then again the rules for combining DH and WH armies are very tricky and I don't have my books handy!
But one squad, very useful to a DH player. If you're making a fast moving army (ie, everything deepstrikes or is in a transport), Seraphim are a great addition. And they're better at anti-armor than anything else in the DH army list if you give them two pairs of inferno pistols and meltabombs on the Vet!
thanks for the replys; how good are they against armor and what else do the DH have that is good anti-armor?
Two twin-linked melta-weapons, and meltabombs? Jump packs? You tell me ^_^how good are they against armorDreadnoughts, Land Raiders (& Crusaders), free Thunderhammers on terminators, chainfist and eviscerator in the armoury, meltabombs, IST with meltaguns, Orbital Strikes... problem is, all of these choices are either a) expensive or b) hard to use. Simplist anti-armor for GK is to toss meltabombs on all Justicars, take a Dreadnought, and an IST squad with meltaguns.and what else do the DH have that is good anti-armor?
Thanks for the info i'll see if they do any good for my army
