I found some old termies in my old models and I decided to put them in my sm army instead of buying the new ones. As i looked at them. i decided to see how many could fit on a deepstrike template. I got roughly about 10 of them on there. Then i thought about the new termies, how they are on the special character bases. You can prolly get about 5 or 6 on the template (correct me if im wrong). Dont you think that people are just gonna get the old termies instead of the new ones? You can fit about twice as many old termies in a template compared to the new ones. and im guessin that the new termies will cost 50$ for 5 of them (just like the gk termies) Of course the old termies now cost 40$ but still im sure that most people will use the old termies just because of their smaller bases. What are your thoughts on this? :hmm:

There's one major flaw in your argument....deep strike no longer uses the ordinance template for placing models.
The enemies of the Emperor fear many things. They fear discovery, defeat, despair and death. Yet there is one thing they fear above all others. They fear the wrath of the Space Marines!

My thoughts are that you should read the new rules. The only part of your argument that is valid is the size of the bases part because obviously bigger bases will mean a bigger circle BUT I should imagine that all terminators will need to be rebased on the larger bases.

Thanks Brother Marius for clearing that up for me

Slimey, thanks for the input but i do not appreciate the attitude. Also, old terminators will not need to be based on larger bases. They can be based with their original bases they were supplied with. Maybe you should read the new rules.

You don't need a page ref for that. You can always use an older model just as it came to represent the same thing. For example the old Land Raider and Dreadnoughts were much smaller than the new ones. People still use them though.

Page 6 Under 'Bases': "...supplied with base...minimum size...can go larger."
