maybe this is a noobish question but i saw someone have Grey Knight Terminators on his IG army (in the army lists section) and i'm asking myself
IS THAT POSSIBLE?
because i've read my IG codex for like a hundred times, and i've never seen anything in it that says u can have a squad of Grey Knight Terminators :hmm:
i'm playing IG for almost three years now and i didnt knew of it, so maybe it's new, or i'm just dumb
but could someone pls give me some information about this
because when an IG army can have Grey Knight Terminators, i'm gonna buy them real soon
thnx in advance
Grey Knights can be allied to an IG force. They use the Codex: Daemonhunters.
In Codex Daemonhunters it tells you what you can and cannot take for IG allies. BTW some Grey Knight termies are just what the doctor orderd for IG games of 1500+ pts; those guys kick ass.
High Elves (BloodBowl)
Warseer Blood Bowl League
yeah thats why i wont them real badOriginally posted by 311@Dec 3 2004, 14:48

so i have to buy a deamonhunter codex and in there r the statistics for the grey knight terminators
that great thnx
yeah IG can take DH/WH as allies. and many a IG general as used the GreyKnight Temies. and you can't blame them, they're rather CC monsterish.
but be warned. 1 squad of termies (even w/out GM) will run you the prize of at least 2 Leman Russes.... ask your self, which would serve you best?
Of course, you could try to play as Grey Knight Guard Deathwing with 2 full terminator monster squads (including one with a GKGM unbelievably loaded with wargear), 3 russes, and minimal troops.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but I figured it would be better than starting a new one...
I know that you can take GK termies as allies, but I thought that they can only be used against armies with demons in them. Is that an old rule or what? It seems rather silly to include them in a list if you can't use them most of the time...
Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely...
but it rocks absolutely, too!
Nope you can use them regardless of your opponents. Though If you do use them your opponents have the OPTION to take a Greater Demon as a leaderI know that you can take GK termies as allies, but I thought that they can only be used against armies with demons in them. I would not be shy to say that the loss of two tanks if well worth the choice of GK termies in an army of 1500+ points. I play grenadiers with one platoon of 5 squads. The and two russes with the grey knights is more then supstantial for dealing with even a heavy cc armylike orcs or tyranids.
Sure you may think those tanks are great, wait until a squad of terminators deep strike into your rear and wipe out everything you've got, including those precious tanks. It sure would have been nice to have a squad of 5 GK terminators waiting back there or deepstriking to counter assault and wipe out that squad wouldn't it? Unless their terminators are GK (or 1,000 sons with 2 wounds....but eh no one is perfect ) they'll wipe out your standard SMurf terminators without breaking a sweat.
Karnov let all of us fulfil our repressed dreams of being a fat Russian man running around in the great outdoors and getting shot at by weird stone heads and crap. You didn't have a repressed fantasy about doing such marvelous things? Well, I don't believe you . . . [djpretzel]
