Is there any particular reason why we cant take assault terminators as a command squad? i'm in the middle of expanding my marines so that they will be better in an assualt and i notice that there is no option to do this? seems kind of pants to me!!
That's like asking, 'Why can't Command Squads take BP/CCW instead of Bolters?' The answer? GW is crazy, they made it that way.

Er I may be wrong but dosent it say in the new Codex that command squads can take bolt pistols and close combat weapons. As for the terminator command squad question maybe its for space reasons (Ie puting in options for lightning claws Thunder hammers Etc would take up to much space) Not much of a reason i know but it's all i can think of.
Ask not the ruleboys a question for they shall give you three answers each true and terrifying to behold
You can always take the assault termies as a separate squad and have the SM Master with no command squad. That way, the Master can join the Termies as an independant character.
