I am starting daemonhunters and I am curious what models you use to represent an inquisitor in terminator armor, or power armour, or anything that you use in your games as an inquisitor.
Also, if I wanted to give my GK termies a thunder hammer or two, whats the best way to do it, bits order TH arms from regular terminators, or something else.

Here's a list of some possible Inquisitor models from the 40k range
Brother-Captain Stern (DH)
Terminator Captain (SM)
Rune Priest (SW)
Grand Master Azreal (DA)
Librarian Ezekial (DA)
Emperors Champion (BT)
Space Marine Lord (Chaos)
Ahriman The Sorcerer (Thousand Sons)
those are just some of the possible Models you can customize to make a cool looking Inquisitor/lord for your DH army
Order some arms from other Termies with TH and SS and use those, or buy the Assault Terminator blister with the TH and SS, or if your a good sculpter you can sculpt a TH, the SS you can just buy because it comes unattached
Basically any model in loyalist armor. Decide how you want your =][= outfitted, and look for a suitable model. A good way to make unique models easily is a simple armswap. One of my own Inquisitors is a DA Vet Sergeant model (power armor with robes) with GK Terminator arms. I can easily say he's in any of the three heavy armors (termie, power, artificer) because of how he looks, and he's still got an =][= feel. Also, don't forget the classic/collectors area of GW's site. It has a lot of older models, including special characters, that people don't see a lot of and make great =][= models. If you had the time & skill, you could use Chaos models, but you'd have to do a lot of filing and puttywork to get rid of all the Chaos insignia.I am starting daemonhunters and I am curious what models you use to represent an inquisitor in terminator armor, or power armour, or anything that you use in your games as an inquisitor. My own TH/SS termie use a standard GK body and shoulders. I chopped off his left arm at the elbow and mounted a SM termie power fist, upon which I mounted a shield from the Empire Knights WHFB sprue. For his right arm, I used a GK Termie halbred (not sword) arm, and chopped the weapon off just above his hand (so his hand and the handle below it are still on the model). I then took the head of the Inquisitor Lord Corteaz model's hammer (since it has a nice =][= symbol on it) and pinned it on top. Since I kept the halbred's handle, it has a nice purity seal wrapping around it. I think the easiest way, though, is just chop off a GKT's hand/weapon and replace it with the hand/weapon of a SM Termie with hammer. Probably more stable, but hey. Also, if I wanted to give my GK termies a thunder hammer or two, whats the best way to do it, bits order TH arms from regular terminators, or something else.
yeah i just got my Corteaz bitz hammer today i'm combining that with the new SM commander box. he's going to be a SM Captian / Inq Lord. the box even comes with cool =][= shoulder pads
basically, Inq Lords are just an invitation for conversions have fun with it!
What model do you think best represents the GK Grand Master?
without converting, Brother Captain Stern, or with a little bit of converting, Grand Master Azreal. But thats my opinion
Hey, I am building and inquisitor and a GK w/ a TH Termie and a GK Termie.
It takes some editing with sandpaper and I used a screwdriver like thing to widen the holes on the arm. I didn't want to cut anything.
Where's your Baritone Saxophone?
an idea i was thinking of for a grand master would be to convert over ezekial, get a GK termy storm bolter, and convert it onto his hand or something like that (like glue the SB along the left wrist as it grips his sword, to kinda signify that "yes, it does exist".... maybe that'll work better for inquisitor...)
"One thing that intrigues people to fantasy is how different it is from reality. Make sure you remember that difference, and you'll have a wonderful time."
For the sake of simplicity, either the BC Stern model, or the regular GKT BC model. Arm swaps, added bitz, maybe a banner, and you've got a unique model that doesn't require real tools or putty. If you want to get tricky and pull out the toolbox, just about any model is good ^_^ I prefer non-special characters, though, because that way they'll look cooler and more unique. I'm sorry, but there are only so many times I can see Logan Grimnar's body without getting bored! ^_^
