First, are any of the Forge World tank changes, like different weapons, any good/ worth it? And do you need the Forge world books to play them? Also, are the coversions worht the price, especially for an American like me who pays extra for shipping? Also, are the Land Raider and Rhino door replacements worth it? how cool are they, and do they really make the modle look better for almost $20 extra? Thanks for your help.
Well I personally like some of the forgeworld models, and having them in your army does make it somewhat unique. I really like the iron hands doors for the rhino and the icons though and plan on getting some. If you don't mind paying the money then go for it. Just be warned that resin tends to warp and have bubbles so you may get some parts that need some fixing up.
The enemies of the Emperor fear many things. They fear discovery, defeat, despair and death. Yet there is one thing they fear above all others. They fear the wrath of the Space Marines!
yes you have to but IA volume 2, cause this is the only source for the rules.
A lot of their own tank are quite usefull, I have the Prometheus and on many occasions it has helped considerable against armies like orks, eldar, nids and DE
My local club is getting more and more into the use of forgeworld models so I have to get some more parts, with the recent increase for airpower it looks like I'm heading straight for the Hyperios
The doors are very good IMO, they add some real flavor to a tank and makes the army better looking.
And don't worry too much about warping, nothing a little bit of warm water can't handle, just don't use brute force.
