this question has plagued me for a while and i don't have a good answer for it except that maybe the adeptus mechanicus doesn't associate with the DH any thoughts on this would be helpful to remedy this ailment of mine.
I don't have a definite answer for that one, but I can try to rationalize it out from the fluff ^_^
First off, GK are valuable. Insanely so. They don't waste GK on anything that isn't of the highest importance. There aren't enough of them to warrant using a GK for occupying a planet or in a siege fight. They don't even drive their own vehicles - why waste an elite soldier when you can just requisition a driver from whatever armed service is around (or even the Adeptus Mechanicus, who knows). They probably have Adeptus Mechanicus members who maintain their vehicles - the codex says that because of their proximity to Mars and rank in the Inquisition, they get new technology before most other parts of the Imperium's armies. Likewise, they don't have specific roles within the chapter - there are no GK chaplains, librarians, or apothecaries because every GK looks to his immediate superior for those needs. So its partly because the GK don't actually care for their own vehicles, and the fact that no one in the chapter takes on specific support roles.
well, GKs actually drive land raiders and crusaders, it turns out. eh heh....
but i believe that for one, the initiation of secrets and documents to the tech marine plus their training on mars plus their secrets would prove... overwhelming, yes? secondly, their training requires them to look out for technology and machinery, something that is pointless against supposed 'ancient and holy' like the gear of the grey knights. finally, advancement of technology ain't quite on the 'to do' list for the people who ritualize and purify their own weapons (not sure how well techmarines would fare with the whole 'purify the weapon' bit).
and again, like megalo sez, they're too valuable. grey knights are pretty small in number, so they can't quite expand in categories and uses, like the space marines. they're focused on one goal: killing daemons. they MIGHT be interested in using technology to kill daemons, but other than that, such interest in technology would not be desired....
but hey, if GW decide to add on techmarines, good for us. gives me a use for those damn CC servitors, but they'd probably add another assasin group or something before they assimilate grey knights deeper into the space marine fold
