I allready have a commander, tac squad and enough termi's (i got 10 from a friend), and i have a land speeder. Im planning of buying some heavy stuff now, after i get another tactical squad.
what shoud i buy? maybe a rhino?
edit: its a shooty army
If your looking for shooty, a dread with twin linked lascannon and a ml seems good. If you want a cheaper pts model a land speeder tornado is always a good choice, either in an anti-tank role or an anti-infantry role.
High Elves (BloodBowl)
Warseer Blood Bowl League
A Predator Annhilator with HB sponsons (and Machine Spirit upgrade) is a good all-around choice for HS. A Dev squad is also a good choice.
Save exotic stuff like land raiders, vindicators, etc for higher point games where you've got some points to blow on extra "fun" stuff.
Purge all the heretics,
Kill the alien scum,
Suffer not the unclean to live,
And have a beer when you're done.
Definatelly with 40k greybeard on this one.
Id go for a devastator squad, Predator or Whirlwind if I were you.
Mentor of Space Marine Commanders far and wide.
Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:
1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant
2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers
3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC
I'd go with the rhino, after the second tactical squad of course. You'll need SOME mobility to plug holes, counter attack and take objectives with. Give the rhino to one of the tactical squads and join them with the commander for some close combat punch.Originally posted by Murph@Dec 8 2004, 19:04

After that you can start thinking of the fancy stuff :)
Definitely a Whirlwind, then a Devstator squad.
I'd have to agree with LittleWing here. Whirlwinds ar KA because they don't have to guess range, and can either damage or lay mines.Originally posted by LittleWing@Dec 8 2004, 130

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>Amid the darkness and horror of a world splintering apart, the armies of the true creators, we who were ancient at the dawn of time, will march forth once more. Yes, whirlwinds are an excellent choice since they will fit into any points game you play. However, if you want something with a little firepower that will also help you out in the long run, I reccomend getting a razorback. You can put the lascannons on it if you want, but I like the heavy bolters myself. This way you have a transport for a squad and it doesn't take up a HS slot.
The enemies of the Emperor fear many things. They fear discovery, defeat, despair and death. Yet there is one thing they fear above all others. They fear the wrath of the Space Marines!
devestator squad full of hvy bolters and then a dreadnought with lasscannon and ML
P.S. Blood angels rule, the anger lets us ignore wounds ...hehehe
TAKE A WHIRLWIND
this is cuz:
1:guess range - hide like a coward and deal out death at the same time
2:plug holes with mines
3:take objectives - a tank can also take objectives they and in a clense a cowardly tank is perfect to hold a back quarter
4:NO NEED FOR COUNTER ATTACK - y counter attack when u could just pound the offencive squad with missles? (that was for u TUBAL)
