Im considering starting a raven gaurd army just to get this model. Its a Mk.6 beakie, with lightning claws and a jump pack.

Hes in the new codex, and i was thinking of using the model in my army, the Grey Falcons, san jump pack as my chaplain.

Has anyone else seen the model ? Ill see if i can get some pics from my frind who has it.

I have seen it, his picture is in the codex near the back. I think its very cool looking and I too am considering Raven Guard, mainly due to the Rules for Shrikes Wing. Mmmm lightning claws....

I was thinking about having my own colour scheme, but using raven gaurd rules. making them like the Honour Gaurd company or something, because i dont really like the black. Im more of a grey guy, codex grey in particular.

yeah. i think ill just have a Raven Gaurd army, painted in different colours, slightly.

yes, i do quite agree, lighting claws aer very very nice..

I have seen it as well. There is actually 2 pictures of him in the codex. One Drawn on his special charcter sheet and a picture of him leading an army against Tau.

I was thinking of picking him up as well. Hes too cool.

Just remember that if you dont use him in a Ravenguard then he isnt shrike and does not get any of the special rules.

1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant

2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers

3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC

The Raven Guard color scheme is very similar to that of the Black Templars. They are black with white chapter insignia. Its in the codex.

Im sure no one would mind if you modified the paint jobs. Just remember that your 2 primary colors are black and white. As long as that is adherred to I dont see anyone complaining.

Yeah. i think bloack and white with Codex grey Terminators would be OK.

I cant wait until i get shrike and Shrikes wing. 175 for him, and 255 for 5 Wings. Thats 430 points for a unit that all has Lightning claws, can infiltrate, 2 attacks each, F&K grenades, stealth + Jump packs !!! BONUS. only problem is getting lightning claws onto Jump pack models..

I was thinking maybe buying 6 Shrikes, leaving one in the original pose as shrike, but modifying the poses and heads of the others.

What dya think ?

I'm seriously considering building an Army around Shrike's Wing as well.

I was going to order some lightning claws out of the Veterans Box from the US online store. They look like they should fit under a jump pack pretty easily.

Click for Veteran Bits

If I buy about 4 boxes of assualt marines at once, that should give me enough pointy-snout assault marines to make a nice uniform looking Shrikes Wing unit that looks good but won't outshine the boss.

I think your Grey Termie idea is cool.
With so many Black SM armies out there, you've got to do something to stand out.
I was gonna trim my RG army with a vivid colour like Blazing Orange.
