I saw that the librarians get new power that look good. im thinking about geting 1.
wha tdo u think of librarians?
My first game I played he did almost nothing, but I was impressed at the potential he had. On one turn I used Fury of the Ancients and put it through a rhino and 2 full squads of blood claws. Didn't kill anything or pin anything, but slightly better luck could have been devestating. Also he got misused and left alone and was assaulted by 12 blood claws and a a wolf preist. He took down 3 but the powerfists caught up and smoked him... but I could see the potential of him assaulting with my full man assault squad.

I prefer chaplains, especially with the new rule they have, Litanies of Hate, re-roll failed 'to *' rolls !!! GIve him terminator armour, a storm bolter, and have him lead an Assault Termie Squad, all with lightning claws, maybe one thunder hammer, you have instantly, 6 terminators, re-rolling to hit AND to wound rolls.
*I cant remember which roll it is, but they get to re-roll the one that lightning clawsdont let you. I think its re-roll to hit, and lightinig claws is RR to wond, or the other way around. either way.

Librarians have a lot of potential - when used properly (as mentioned before).
If you tool them up for HTH (terminator honors, some kind of invulnerable save and so on) and support him with a close combat squad (assault squad or terminators or veterans) you can use him to instant kill most opponent's leaders.
Depending on your opponent you can also select an appropriate psychic power. "fear of the dark" and "fury of the ancients" work really nicely against IG and some Tau, Eldar or Chaos.
"Veil of Time" works nicely against swarm armies. As does "might of heroes".
I recommend them, but you need to use them properly. All the SM Characters can perform if you support them with a squad. they can work on their own but in most cases you need to protect them a bit.
Shut up and play.
what psychic power would you use with the librarian if you were against the necrons? (really consentrating on them since they will be the first i battle) :shifty: but wat u said about the librarian will be useful.Thnx.
Against necrons, either take Vortex of Doom (necrons have bad initiative, and this could actually do something against them), Storm of Emperor's Wrath (AP 2 and a blast template, no more need be said), or Veil of Time (A librarian in CC able to reroll every roll he makes will kill a ton of Necrons).
Personally, I just played a game where a friend and I tried out Tigurius. While it is a shame that he can't be outfitted with terminator armour or articifer armour, the second power and the double range on powers makes him quite worthwhile. He took Fear of Darkness, and managed to take out a good 40% of the Tau army single handedly, just by forcing them off the board.
I can't wait to make one a Deathwatch Marine with squad. Stick em in a Rhine with Ablative armor and give them a couple of Heavy bolters with suppretion harness. Very expensive HQ, but man the potential..........
breath, sight, squeeze.
now double tap just for grins
and Another One bite's the dust.
A bolter round for all that oppose the Emperor.
Oh Storm of the emperor's wrath is Blast? that good for killing a few men and viel of time would definately help with second rolls. he'll be great with assult terminators!
I couple weeks ago I was playing with my friends. I had two librarians, they would were probbaly the best pieces on the board. My fury of the ancients almost took out my friends devilfish. (Darn dice rolls :realmad: )

It seems that a lot of people use the fury of the ancients with their librarians.
