there is a trais allowing you to take a ccw and bolt pistol at no extra cost, but i guess is really depends on your style of play. if you want to get involved in cc then obvious you go for the ccw and bolt pistol, if you just want to spank your enemy from a distance, go with the bolters

I prefer bolters over bolt pistols because they can rapid fire. But a even better combination is bolter with c.c.w. and trust you battle-brother trait which he has true grit.

Don't foret counter-attack.

The other ability is free, though, but effectively cuts your shooting phase productivity in half.

I would take bolters, just for the option of rapid firing a superior cc enemy.

Bolters:
+ Rapid Fire
+ Can fire double (up to 12") after disembarking
+ A nice 3+ to hit
- no 1+A (for having two weapons)
- Waste of bullets against weaker and more numerous enemies

BP+ CC:
+ +1 A
+ Still you can fire (smaller range but still good)
+ 3+ Amror save
- No Fire Power
- No Charge after Disembarkment
- Range up to 12"
- What if you dont get to the target of the Charge?

Bolters.
If you want to go hth, use assault marines, if you're BA use death company, or use SW with bloodclaws.

i would go with all bolters , they are a tactical squad and not a cc squad , you would want the majority of your troops to be able to have good ranged attacks across the battle feild , most of the squad would probobly be killed before they get across the feild .

personally i love Trust Your Battle Brother. its so furstrating when your SMs get stuck in the fight and are reduced to 1A and counter-attack is thrown in there as well

not to mention all the cool modeling
