So what orders do most people have their sisters painted as? I suspect the Order of Our Martyred Lady is up there becasue GW paints theirs like this. And is the order of the Sacred Rose's white armour as hard to paint as I have been told? Cheers guys.
personally my sisters are going to be the white armour and red robes of some of the codex pictures. its not actually an order but its most like the order of the sacred rose, who have black robes.
white arour can be pretty tricky to paint. i haven't actually got the hang of it yet so i can't explain.
I have my own order: purple armour and white robes. Fluff of the order on request.
My ladies are the Order of the Pierced Heart. Though they're a minor Order spun off from the Valorous Heart they have a colour scheme closer to Our Martyred Lady. Black armour with blue highlights, Black robes with red lining and white trim, red boltguns. Each Sister is different with about half of them sporting hair or face conversions. My fav at the moment is Vet Superior Jacky Brown. Yes, she has the 'fro. And yes, the Tarantino film is spelt Jackie Brown, I chose Jacky to avoid copyright issues should I ever become a world-class player.
Painting white armour. Never use straight white. For some reason white never covers the grey underneath and ends up splotchy. Always tint it with the tiniest bit of codex/fortress grey. Contrast alone should make the light grey seem like white.
Actually I found this out whilst painting Daemonettes.
Go Alicia Dominicia! ^_^
My army is painted as a Preceptory of the Ebon Chalice obviously but I do make them slightly different with ice blue robes and fleur de lys.
Most important rule when facing any army with the Imperials is that you have to play like you have nothing to lose. Go big, or go home. Play like you have a pair. You cannot fight the enemy with subtlety or else you will get demolished.
I figured black and white is the best scheme for Sisters.
After all. That's the way they see the world.
Black, White and colourless.
Well, I actually had my sisters painted with black armor and red robes. When the witch hunters codex came out GW changed the Order of Our Martyred Lady's color scheme to match mine!
That was considerate of themOriginally posted by Shiver@Dec 15 2004, 15:39

Yeah most of the old school SoB players tended to paint them similarly to the box art.
In the codex there are several pictures of sisters with white armour and red robes, but no mention of them in the colour scheme page. Anyone know what order this scheme is?
