Help! Head hurts. i've been thinking about this for quite a while and I still haven't solved my prob. Look at this( 1000pt custom Chapter):
Chaplain-reclusiarch - 111pts
BP, meltabombs, jump pack, Crozius and Rosarius
Scoutsx8 - BP+CCW 104pts
Tactical squad - vet.sarge w/p.swrd+BP, 1 meltagun, 8 BP+CCW (Trait)
Rhino transport w/extra armour and smoke - 58pts
tac squad - lascan, plas. gun, 4 bolters 115pts
Tac squad - Lascan, plas gun + 4 bolters 115pts
Assault squad - Vet.Sarge w/p.fist+BP, 2 plas. pistols, 4 standard troops 191pts
that's only 860pts. what should I get for the remainder? I play stuff with high Armour (Necron and SM, etc) so I was thinking vindicator. Should I take it? Or should I change somehing in my list? Or should I boost up my anti-tank power with a pred? How about CC ability with a dred? head hurts.... Help!
P.S. Blood angels rule, the anger lets us ignore wounds ...hehehe
Actually....if you can free up a few extra points, i'd take a pair of Tornados in that list.
Assault Cannons can eat tanks and troops. And don't scatter like a Vindi.

Im taking 4 in my raven gaurd lists. That, the number of assault squads, and HQ will always remain the same for 1000 points + the only thing that will change is the number of scouts !!
Yeha. Tornadoes...you have 140 points...scratch one of the scouts and the plasma guns on the tac squads. if they have lascannons, there not going to be moving, and firing at long range, so the plsama will be way less effective. you need to free up 20 points moer, so 1 scout, -13 and 2 plasma guns -12 ? thats 25 points less.

Though if I really use 2x Tornadoes then the best solution will just be o use the trait "See, but not be seen", Infiltrate the CC Tac squad and bingo! instant 28 spare points. (Hmm :rolleyes: , melta bombs for Chppy, anyone?)
Because Rhino + 2x tornadoes = US$105. That's WAY WAY WAY too much for me.

Chickenpowder. If you are worried about Necrons and SM then your best bet, especially monetary wise, is a devastator squad. I would recommend 4 missile launchers. They Pen and autokill both marines and necrons. Especially important against necrons so they cant WBB.
Dont get me wrong, I am an avid fan of speeders but in your case definatelly go with a devastator squad.
Mentor of Space Marine Commanders far and wide.
Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:
1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant
2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers
3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC
