Ok, so I'm looking at my DH codex here and it says that Hurricane Bolters count as three TL boltguns. Is this the boltgun that is rapid fire or is it a typo, and supposed to mean Heavy Bolter. If it is the bolter, how do rapid fire rules apply to vehicles :hmm: ?
Well, vehicles are stable firing platforms, so you always get max range. And yes, it is bolter, not heavy bolter - three TL-heavy bolters per sponson would be ridiculous!
if you move up to 6" you can fire both sponsons up to 24" or rapid up to 12".
so 6shots (TL) at 24" or 12shots (TL) up to 12".
unfortunatly, the LRC used to be able to fire it's Hurricane Bolters even if it moved 12", but they changed that now... which is kinda lame imo.
What changed about our Land Raiders? The only rule that is passed from the Space Marine Codex in terms of anything, is the Assault Cannon profile that has been updated. We get no spirit of the machine or w/e, our LR & LRC's stay the same as in our codex. So... those hurricane bolters still shoot like normal bolters but there's three on each sponson and they're twin-linked so you can re-roll the misses. You can always shoot them regardless of movement just like, pintle-mounted strom-bolters. I hope I'm right and if not please correct me!
Tanks can not fire ANY weapons if they move over 6" (4th Edition rulebook).Originally posted by Lynx_Phoenix@Dec 31 2004, 063

Hurricane bolters used to have a specil rule that they could fire no matter what, however thet rule was removed in the 4th edition Codex.
the GK LRcrusader uses the same entry form the SM codex.
