I'm fighting eldar on saturday. Have never fought them before. Gonna be fun. I think I'll bring my two LemanRusses and my basilisk. Gonna need those barage weapons I think. Any suggestions on what to field?
The indirect fire capability of your artillery is great. Just watch out for there "eldar lascannons". The eldar greatest strength lies in there mobilety. This makes them perfect for attacking in strengt at one point and then before you can retaliate they pull out, examples of this is the jetbikes extra movement, the warp spiders extra movement. To counter this you could use your artillery (as it dosen't need line of sight). Most eldar players use atlest one wrait lord. This means that one should be prepared to deal with them. The simplest way to do that is to simply ignore them. Move away from them. They will shoot, but if that is all they do so much better for you.
Good Luck (hope to hear about the battle)
There wasn't any battle on saturday. Antrax's, the eldar player, girlfriend made us pizza. So we sat down and filled our stummacks with pizza and soda.
Were you able to take a look at his army list?
I play Eldar, and I personally have a helluva time with Guard. The thing I hate most are the really troop-heavy armies. I find that many troops the hardest thing to deal with. Couple that with a pair of Basilisks, and nearly any Eldar Player should have a genuinly tough time dealin' with it.
to outside angel: my eldar pal includes a squad of storm guardians with some kind of HQ in a wave serpent. In all, theyve got 3 heavy flamers thet just tear my puny guardsmen apart!
Not if you take them out with Ordnance first.to outside angel: my eldar pal includes a squad of storm guardians with some kind of HQ in a wave serpent. In all, theyve got 3 heavy flamers thet just tear my puny guardsmen apart!
i play eldar too, so be very wary of howling banshees striking scorpians and wraithlords, which you cant hurt in hth, the banshees and scoprians tear apart guard squads in hth and are normally put in wave serpants, so take down the transports, make them walk and then blast them with ordance, oh and watch out for fleet of foot a possibility of them moving 12 inches in a turn is kinda scary
As an ork player (mostly) I will pipe up about this. You are RIGHT ON, brother. Just ignore them. Shoot at everything else and move away from wraith lords. God, Eldar players get pissed when you are crushing troops and ignoring that monster. Most eldar players use atlest one wrait lord. This means that one should be prepared to deal with them. yeah but i play iyaden sometimes and you cant ignore 3 of them .... and they are a mess in hth for the guard
