I was thinking of a Missile Launcher Devastator squad.

The metal missile Launcher SM are £4 but the Special weapon sprue can be ordered from GW for £3.

Do you think it would be better to get 4 metal figures for £16, or order 4 sprues for £12.

Whilst the plastic ones would be cheaper, the metal ones have more detailing, I think, which befits a Devastator.

Also the plastic ones are lighter and easier to paint than metal figures. But then I would need extra bodies..........

    Which would you plump for?

I orderd 4 sprues since you also get the sgt's stuff with the missile launcher. The fact that its cheaper helps out too

    Plastic.

For two more reasons. The metal figures are (sometimes) harder to glue and the paint dosnt get destroyed on the plastic models. (or not as easily)

I would go for the sprues. The easier to paint they are, the better looking they will turn out. Also, money is always a factor in my mind.

The last few missile launchers I have needed to make I converted out of HK missiles. Very easilly done. If you have extra's I would recommend it.

    1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant

    2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers

    3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC
