I just got a pair of sentinels for Christmas and was deciding what options to take. I got thinking that the heavy flamer would be a good call (on at least one of them). Being Cadian variant it has the multi-laser and autocannon models, but the "normal" variant only has the multi-laser. Now that I think about it, the Leman Russ and Demolisher is in a similiar situation (No heavy flamer sponsons, not enough heavy bolters to take them for sponsons and hull-mounted), as are my housemate's Tau Crisis suits.
I've had a look at both the Australian and UK GW online shop to see if you can buy weapon models there, but no deal.
So my question is; how are you meant to model for WYSIWYG, when the models for some options seemingly don't exist?
Your options are either model it yourself or buy kits from Forge World. Problem with Forge World is they are in the UK, are expensive, and don't have everything. I'm currently in the pain-in-the-ass dilemma of how to model extra armor on my Russes.

Standard Box - Heavy Flamer / Multilaser
Catchan Box - Heavy Flamer / Multilaser
Steel Legion Box - Lascannon
Cadia Box - Autocannon
The weapons are out there, just in different boxes. You could always order just the parts you need from the website.
Anywho, in a more general stance. You convert. Simple as. I just cut the multilaser barrel off from the mount, added the barrel from some Lascannons left over from a Heavy Weapon Team and voila. Armageddon Pattern Sentinels. You can do the same things on tanks, just take a little time getting the cuts nice and easy and you can pretty much trade anything.
The only one you may have trouble with is heavy flamers (as they dont come in HW boxes) but i think you can order Heavy flamer sponsors as bitz from wither the Witchhunters range or Bloodangles range (Baal Pred), then again they would just need a little converting.
Do you use the track guard upgrade? if not the just put on the guards anyway and count those as the extra armour...Originally posted by Ylide@Dec 29 2004, 19:27

Other than that, the turret guards from the Hellhound are good for modling extra armour.
If you file down the back of them you can stick em pretty much anywhere.
Ahh, it seems the US site is better than the UK/AU site (And it'd be cheaper to order rfom than the UK site). I might wait until I have a collection of stuff needing sprues and do an order from the US store. The weapons are out there, just in different boxes.
