Since we were on the topics of Ogryns, I went over to the AB program to see if I could give a Bone 'ead the Macharian Cross, just for the fun of creating the most cunning Ogryn sergeant ever! Sadly, this is not an option.
What is interesting, though, is that one can award a Bone 'ead the Medallion Crimson. If he had this, he could throw himself in front of Lascannon or Krak missile shots, taking a wound but saving a model, which isn't bad when you consider that the Medallion is 10 points cheaper than an Ogryn model. It would be cool as hell to see, too.
Yeah or nah?
That's not a bad idea actually, since being autokilled is the biggest threat for ogryns with only T4. It would also help in close combat against powerfists and such.
Sounds more powerful than amusing, if I had any ogryns I might try it. Most interesting.
Veni Vidi Variant
I came, I saw, I got a different type of Leman Russ.

Rules for grenades are on page 72 of the rulebook.
would the current majority rules allow it to work, though?
it would be cool if it did.
Yeah, this is excellent! TY Angel of Rust!
Graktoof the vile, victor of 1000 battles, partial credit to 1000 more, and sore loser about the other 8000...
I don't know what rule you mean. Usually, Lascannons and such are fired only one at a time, with the possible exception of Predator Annihilators, Land Raiders and such. AFAIK, you can still choose which model takes a hit as long as every model in the unit isn't hit.
Then...to be really a pain in the butt...give the Bone 'Ead a Refractor Field. Maybe he'll just deflect the first auto-kill hit, and then use his Medallion for the second one. Good God, that would be a tough Ogryn.
"The Nightbringer swung its scythe again, toppling Guardsmen like fallen wheat. Then, from out of a burning alley, charged RAMBOGRYN! His massive jaw was set with determination, and around his head was a red cloth band made from the cravat of his fallen commander. The Nightbringer smiled a small cruel smile and swung its scythe again, only to see RAMBOGRYN take the blow with nothing more than a muffled grunt. The stout abhuman then leaped high, bringing the blunt end of his Rippa Gun down on the C'tan's head, collapsing the monstrous deity like a punctured balloon. Stunned Guardsmen emerged from their hiding places, awed at the stupifying (literally) power of RAMBOGRYN.
The abhuman responded to their adulation with an exasperated snort, and jacked another shell into the chamber of his Rippa Gun. 'Come on, lads," he grunted, 'there's still fightin' ta do.'"
Not a bad piece of fluff, i like.
