Since Im thinking on a LR /LRC I want to know if anyone had any success here (and what tactic).
Personaly I thinking of have one filled with *GK together with a Leman Russ and one or two Carriers with (Chimera / Rhino). All transported troops have teleport homers for the GKT squad.
This way I dont risk to have my GKT sitting in a wreck and my opponent will have a realy hard time deciding for a target.
* ) Not GKT since I want to get rid of walking troop chooices and keep the total pts on that vehicle somewhat low.
Can this work or have someone a better way of doing things?
its probably blatantly simple and ill probably be ashamed, but what does GKT and GK stand for?
GK = GreyKnight
GKT Grey Knight Terminator
futhermore (you may know this but anyway):
LR = Landraider
LRC = Landraider Crusader
BC = Brother Captain
GM = GrandMaster
IST = Inquisitor Storm Trooper
DH = Daemonhunter
@mEGALOMANIAC: Maybe you could add an more complete list to your "DH-guide"?
Good idea, been meaning to redo some of that thing for 4th edition anyways...
I've always liked the idea of using power armored GK in a LRC myself. Max the squad out & add a teleport homer like you mentioned, and crash that sucker into the enemy's line! The assault cannon and multimelta will basically eat up anything in front of you, and assault ramps, well, rock. My current 2k list has two Rhinos, two Chimeras, and three deepstriking squads. When thats all painted up, I planned to buy a LRC and another squad of GK, that'll be 500 more points! Armored Company what now? ^_^
True, the LR/LRC need some armored friends to survive (or his armored friends need a LR/LRC to survive)....
and you can drop one Stormtroppersquad and still have an all mobile army
